How I Can Help
How I Can Help
Every engagement is shaped around the issue and the decisions that need to be made. Depending on the task, this may involve reviewing mine and closure plans, risk registers, cost estimates, studies and commitments; discussions with key people; site visits; maturity or readiness assessments; and working through findings with management, technical teams or the Board. Outputs are equally pragmatic and may include concise findings and priorities, a written review, workshop or presentation, roadmap, or ongoing independent advice. Clarity works alongside internal teams and existing technical specialists rather than replacing them, bringing an independent perspective across the broader closure and business context.
How mature is our approach to closure?
Assess closure maturity in the context of the operation, business priorities and closure aspirations, drawing on recognised good practice to identify material gaps, uncertainties and priorities.
We have a closure plan. How confident should we be in it?
Independent review and challenge of closure plans, assumptions, risks, costs and supporting work to test whether the closure picture is sufficiently robust and the different elements align.
Closure may happen sooner than expected. Are we ready?
A closure readiness review can test alignment between the mine and closure plans, risks, commitments, studies and organisational maturity to identify what needs attention now.
We're designing a mine. Are we considering closure early enough?
Bring an independent closure perspective into studies and mine design to identify decisions that could create future closure risk, liability, or constrain closure options.
Do we understand the closure exposure in this investment or transaction?
Independent due diligence of closure assumptions, liabilities, commitments, study maturity and key uncertainties to support investment decisions, acquisitions and divestments.
We haven't really thought about closure. Where do we start?
Understand current maturity, establish the organisation's closure aspirations and identify the priorities needed to build a fit-for-purpose approach.
Independent advice to Boards and executives
Closure provisions and plans do not always tell the full story. Clarity provides Boards, Board committees and executives with an independent view of closure risk, maturity and uncertainty, helping identify where greater attention or confidence is needed. This can be a focused review around a particular decision or ongoing independent advice as closure risks and priorities evolve.
